The Rolling

I had a very relaxed Saturday today; no real stress, just smooth sailing. I hope soon that I will be able to enjoy life as much as the girl in today's picture. I also learned today that trying to manually focus on a moving object in low light is really hard to get sharp however, I feel that the movement in this picture gives a much better effect. Until tomorrow.

The Time With Friends

After work today, some friends and I went to see Date Night at the dollar theatre, and it was awesome! Date Night was so funny, I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. Anyway, after the film as all of us were driving back, took a lot of long exposure shots, this was my favorite.

The Burn

So yesterday I mentioned that I went on a long bike ride. What I failed to mention was my ride was 75 miles. I am still feeling the burn and pain so I went to the park and did some yoga and took some pictures. I'm feeling slightly better, but I hope that I will be able to ride comfortably tomorrow.

The People Who Move

Today after a semi-long bike ride, I reluctantly helped a nice family from our church move. Others from our church were there who really wanted to help, not wanting to take service away from them, I gladly let them do most of the work as I took pictures. The little girls of the moving family really liked having their picture taken. Thank goodness they were adorable!

The (Almost) Farewell

A very good friend of mine gave his farewell talk in church today. I'm really sad that I will not see him for two years, but at least it is for a good thing. Fortunately he does not leave for another week or two, so we can still hang out for a little longer. There was a small party at his house and this is his little brother.

The Sleep (or lack thereof)

I have not been getting enough sleep lately and I have been finding it more difficult to fall asleep on each passing day. It really suck because my lack of sleep seems to affect the activities I do. So now I am very determined to go to sleep earlier. Hopefully, then will things become better for me. Until then.

The Block

Recently I have been feeling blocked. I need to get over this, but it is hard to see through a fog. I think when I get the chance, I will tackle someplace other than my house. Send me your awesome ideas or at least bring me up some. Until next time.

The Visitor

We found a moth on the floor of our kitchen. I would have to say it was the most awesome moth I have ever seen in my life! I hope you like it too.

The Produce

The other day while riding my bike, I stumbled upon some butternut squash growing semi-wildly. Today while hanging out with my sister, we went to that spot and not only did we find a lot of butternut squash, we also found GIANT zucchini, and we picked a lot of it. Now we are all enjoying my sister's famous butternut squash fries, and they have never tasted so good!

The Shade

The heat spell is over (for now) and I had to make today's picture reflect that. I was in my backyard and I noticed how our fig tree shaded the backyard, so that was when I found my subject for today, too bad it turned out to be a bit grainy. Enjoy the sunburst!

The Flying

Today I went paragliding with some friends. We had a blast and the people nearby had fun watching. Most of the shots were done in the burst shot mode, so there are tons of pictures! Out of all the pictures this is my favorite.

The Lines

Everyday we encounter lines,
starting from the DMV to paying fines.
Then waiting on items ranging from A to Z
and even that line so you can go pee.
Most lines are visible, but others are not,
and for some, waiting can take the energy you got.
So why do we compose lines you may ask?
Some may respond "so you can complete your task."
But that is not what lines should stand for,
instead they should be for a score,
a combination a melody and rhyme,
so things are completed with perfect time.

The Sun

The Sun is bright the Sun is hot
but this heat is not all it's got,
For where there is heat there is light
that captures all these pictures in sight,
But when the sun goes down the night arrives
that changes the very shape of our eyes,
Before all is gone the Sun says one last goodbye
to you, everything and I.

The Buzz

Hello all,
It rained (finally)! I couldn't get the rain in the shot, but I did however find one of our homeless bees, which allowed me to have fun with my macro! Enjoy.

The Dog

My dog, Buddy, looked very sad today. I refused to let him in, but I did take a picture of his sadness and wishfulness. At least Buddy was not being desperate, now that is annoying! Farewell for now.

The Heat

Hola,
Summer has come! Wait, that means heat, and hot heat means I can't go barefoot as much. Never-mind this suck. On the cooler side, at least I live in Orange County rather than if I live in Arizona where it is 113º! Oh well, I can still go to the beach where it is cooler, so Arizona can suck it right to where I went kitesurfing! Hasta mañana!

The Nature Trend

Greetings all,
Today I realized that recently I have just been taking many pictures of nature type stuff and I apologize for that. However, you must realize before I go into a much harder field of photography, I need to experiment and right now I am experimenting with the long exposures a lot, trying to see what I can and cannot do. So for some time you will see some more of night photography and macro photos. Just do not be discerned that I will continue this for my challenge. I am just warming up!

The Rest

Verwelkomen Iedereen,
I took the day of Sunday seriously: I rested. I slept more than I have in quite a long time, twelve hours to be precise. Anyway, I was in the garden today and saw that our corn plants are starting to flower. I got excited. Genieten!

The Day

Ciao a tutti,
I do not think that I have ever worked on a Saturday before, but then again: its summer, so any day that isn't Sunday is like a Saturday. Anyway, today I tried something different with my pictures using a long exposure; it's different, but I think this will be something I will play with and experiment with for some time. Godere!

The Kite

Bonjour á tous,
Today I went kitesurfing and it was a blast! I did not do as many jumps or tricks as I wanted because other kiters were in the way, but overall I had a good time. I came in early so I could take pictures of other kiters, but that did not work out. All-in-all, I had a good time and spent quality time with my dad and sister. Jusqu'á la prochaine fois!

The Start

Hey you guys,
Today was my first day at work and it was fantastic. I did have to work hard and for a long time, also standing for ten hours hurts! However since I am working the posts on the days I am working will most likely be up later at around this time, BUT that also means you will have the treat of my night shots. I love night photography because there is a lot you can do with it and it's also tons of fun. For any aspiring photographer out there try night photography and I am sure you will like it as much as I do.

The End to the Lazy (for now)

Hey everybody,
Today is my last day of sitting around the house doing nothing because I had no job, for now I have a job and will only be sitting around when I have the day off! So now I am looking toward the horizon of things and I am hoping for the best.

The Up

Howdy everybody,
I got a job today! I am now an employee of Rock n' Road Cyclery where I will be a mechanic.  I am actually really excited about this job because that means that I will learn a lot and the guys in the shop are really nice. Another thing that made it a good day today was that it rained, which brought me to today's picture. Enjoy!

The Down

Dear Readers,
I have been sitting at my house with absolutely nothing to do because I have been applying for jobs (with no luck so far). Currently, I am in the waiting period where I am should get a call to know if I have another interview or if I have a job. I fear that if I go running or on a bike ride I will miss the calls that will not come and lose my chance at a job, even if I take my phone with me! So, I have been left paranoid and frustrated. After much thought I feel that recently, I become very much like my dog (which is bad). I hung out with my dog today and took this, which I feel perfectly demonstrates my frustration.

The Holiday

Happy Independence Day everybody! I took today's picture after church today and this sign made me think of not only the beginning of the trail, but the beginning of my journey, and I want to challenge any reader out there to also begin something as well. Your challenge could be anything that can get you to inspire others as much as I hope my pictures inspire you.

The New and The Challenge

Greetings all,
Today I just received my new Sony a330 along with an adapter for my old Minolta lenses and like what my sister says I'm "practically peeing myself" (not really), but yes I am excited, not because it is my very first digital SLR camera but because it means the start of my new challenge: take at least one single picture for everyday for a year starting today. One thing that I like to do when I get a camera is to take random pictures of whatever I see (so not very great pictures). The first picture is of Greengo taken in my backyard. If you know me and have seen this guy before you will notice that he looks much better than before. Anyway, I liked this shot and I think you will too.
